Lars was a soldier after his school years. He was a part of nine months of basic military service with the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment within the Danish army. He didn't feel the military was right for him so he began to look for something different and decided to pursue a degree in biology. Anette returned from a juggler's workshop and showed Lars how much she could manage in three days, even though the juggler was already busy for half of a year. Lars was very pleased with this and wanted to test it. He decided to drop out of college and enrolled at the school of jugglers. He also studied fire breathing and the art of juggling. He then travelled along with two of his fellow students throughout Europe as a touring artist, performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. He came across a children's circus the following year, and he learned both street and children's theatre , as well as pantomime.
