Vinita Nair

In July of 2004 she joined the station and covered a variety of stories. These included an investigation into the killing of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was commissioned at the request of ABC News in December 2007 as a correspondent/anchor for ABC News Now. For her work as a reporter, she provided live reporting as well as briefings for ABC's network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital networks until September 17th in 2008 until February 18th, the 18th of February. In both programs, she was partnered first with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair announced to the viewers of World News Now that she was not going to be on World News Now after Friday 18th February 2011. Also, it would be her last day with ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor for KDVR Denver, was her the direct successor. For each of the three segments of World News Now's February 18 show, Nair was honored by her former colleagues as well like Jeremy Hubbard. She lavished the team with hot food in her final day.
